Always get the house wonton soup here. It's absolutely delicious. It normally comes with shrimp, scallops, pork and chicken but I get chicken only in mine. They easily accommodate requests. You get one container with broth and wontons and another bigger container with delicious thin noodles, meat and veggies. Combine the two and for $9 you have a satisfying meal! I normally get the hot chili paste and add that to spice it up. Today my tummy was sick so the soup was perfect for me without it.

I came here with some buddies of mine on our way to Niagra Falls. We had an awesome amount of food and met Master Chef Lee; who designed a whole full course meal for us. We just showed up and asked him to give us his specials..... the food was sooooo good we almost forgot to take pictures.... we started off with Chicken balls (apparently Canadians order this bcuz its not chinese but it is a chicken donut-like fried donut with sweet and sour dipping sauce), had an amazing chicken string bean dish (highly recommend and amazing...dont no name but ask the Chef and he will know), next dish was a Chinese Spiced Lightly Fried Calamari, after a Homemade Secret Lotus Blossom Soup (Hidden Ninja item only available in Konoha), after that was a chicken chow fun, and a sweet chinese filet mignon, followed by a chicken wings, then fried lobster, and then house family mixed chicken/pork/bee/veg/egg fried rice (freaking amazing). All of these dishes made us filled beyond belief and we took some to go. We had all of this with their house chinese tea....which is delicious and free (OMG....I LOVE Chinese)... my only wish is to sell beer here... this place with $5 beers will make even more money. Thank you to Master Chef Lee for taking care of us and serving an Omakase Michelin Level Course...Mahalo and Much Gratitude/Repect. Hun Ho Sick!

Looks can be deceiving. The first few (dozen) times I drove past Lee's Xpress, I took in the expansive glass wall, the spanking new furniture, contemporary design, and said to myself, "Chain!" I assumed that it would be about as authentically Chinese as those places in the food courts in shopping malls, where most of the food is reheated from frozen. Quick: yes. Authentic: not so much.
But, a couple of friends dragged me into Lee's one day (not that I struggled, you understand: even ersatz Chinese food has an appeal when you're going through soya sauce withdrawal). I am pleased to report that my assumptions, based entirely upon the decor, were completely and utterly wrong. This place is the real deal. The food is actually cooked on the premises (within sight of our table), and was really good. (Okay, to be honest, the lemon boneless chicken wasn't as good as it is at the Capilano Heights in North Vancouver, but that's kind of an unfair comparison, because I have yet to find ANY place that does lemon boneless chicken that well.)
My friends explained to me that this glitzy place is actually the third incarnation of Lee's, each one progressively further West. (I figure if he closes down and reopens again, it will be in Port Colborne.) My guess is that the decor came with the space, and the only thing Lee provides is the cooking. And, well, it's the food that counts, right?
So, lesson learned. Don't judge a restaurant by the decor. The proof is in the eating. -
